Session 8
Valeria confronts Elmire about biting her. She questions their friendship and loss of mutual respect, while delivering a threat & warning her of her sworn blood oaths.
There is a knock at the door- mail is received. It is a letter from Mayor of Greenest (Alec), containing well wishes and concerns about his missing wife Penelope. He asks for help and with the invitation of a reward for recovering Penelope. He also speaks of a large sum of Gold hidden on the property.

Barnabus is most curious sets off to investigate, Valeria joins. Elmire remains by the fire, feeling betrayed that Valeria would question her loyalty. Tauriel remains by the fire also and attempts to comfort Elmire by giving her the little tree gift she has been carrying.
B & V locate a trap door and contraption under one of the beds upstairs. After unsuccessfully trying to use brute force (Barny) and lock picking (Valeria) to access the treasure the duo rethink tactics. Barnabus manages to lift the lid, long enough to see the hinge contraption. Valeria kicks a throwing star to sever the leaver and the door is opened. The room is then plagued by a poisoned mist that instantly disables the duo. Both take poison damage & as Valeria lingered in the room to get a glance at the contents of the well protected vessel, she eventually passes out. Tauriel and Elmire join them and both heal Barnabus, & rescued Valeria. Elmire is the one who heals Valeria to consciousness, still processing their confrontation.

Once the poison is dispersed, the treasure is revealed. LOTS OF GOLD. The loot is split between them and the group wishes to spend these spoils on inventory and weapon upgrades in town. Valeria hides her share; bundled in a cloth, down the mysterious crack in the floor in the downstairs back room. The 4 hit the streets to spend some of their newly found gold, intending to purchase new weapons, items, upgrade existing weapons and to excitedly acquire some smoke powder packets, with a letter from Flame Zodge.

SHOP 1: Eastway Expeditions Shop owner: Scaam. After intense haggling, threats of endangerment, successful & unsuccessful
intimidation Elmire, Barnabus and Valeria got discounted items but are now all banned from the shop for life.
SHOP 2: Felogy's Fireworks Elmire bought a beautifully decorated bow, and the group acquired smoke powder vials.
The 4 explored The Wide Night Market, a colourful and busy upper class street part of the city. and listened to a speech from one
of the cities 4 Dukes (Duke Dillard Portyr), speaking about refugees with an obvious political agender. The 4 saw a familiar face,
Tilley at her cart with an array of new weapons. Tauriel brought throwing stars, while Valeria spoke to a mysterious vendor in
Thieves Cant, who was down a poorly lit back alley.

NIGHT FALL
Poisoned Poseidon – to raise hell & blow it up essentially The group split up to infiltrate the cult hideout. Valeria suggested to send a scout, idea wasn’t taken. The interaction was initiated by one the cultists (who were now on high alert) Elmire, perched on a roof to the West sent ranged attacks at the cultists on the front of the ship. Barnabus, took point on a high point to the North and send swarms of rats to the attack. While chaos began to unfold on the deck of the ship, Tauriel wild shaped into a bat and released our assault of smoke and fire by dropping them into the entrance hatch.
Elmire and Valeria targeted the leader of the cultists. Elmire & Valeria creating an artwork of parallel arrows in the face of a cultist. Valeria engaged in close combat and casts darkness to envelope the enemy. Valeria performed an execution on the cultist tormented by darkness & found on his possession a pair of letters from some named Vaaz.
As the intensity of the fire grew, so did the fight. With screams of burning cultists, swarms of rats, clouds of smoke, the sound of bat wings, flaming arrows, lethal face altering ranged attacks and the gasps of towns people The 4 play on the edge of pandemonium.

The session ended with the Poisoned Poseidon going up in flames, all the above deck cultists slain & the 4 taking one prisoner.
